Goyatek Technology Inc. was founded in Dec. 1998. As a member of the DCA (design center alliance) of TSMC, Goyatek offers a full spectrum SoC design service to TSMC's customers and electronics companies through RTL sign-off, Place and Route, SoC integration, DFT, ASIC turnkey production and IP services. Through an alliance with MOSIS, a leading Multi-project Wafer (MPW) service partner, Goyatek provides stable, reliable and cost-effective MPW solutions. Goyatek provides quality services to its customers with add-on value in circuit design, IP development service, ASIC service, Turnkey service, and time to market production control.

In the beginning, Goya provide only the APR (Automatic Placement & Routing) Service to TSMC's customers. By the end of 1999, Goya further extend the service to TSMC-based SoC/ASIC Turnkey service and IP (Intellectual Property) service to provide the best choice to the market.

Goya is well known for the out-standing engineering capability for the services to TSMC-based advanced process technology. Among all TSMC's DCA (Design Center Alliance) in Taiwan, Goya is the first one to support customer to complete both 0.18um VDSM (Very Deep Sub-Micron) and 0.25um DSM (Deep Sub-Micron) designs. Early in January 1999, Goya tape out the first 0.25um design for customer. By May 2000, Goya completed the first 0.18um design tape out. (By Oct. 2000, the customer has received the sample and approved successfully.). With the solid experience, Goya formally approve the services in the field of VDSM.

Combining Goya's own skill sets, TSMC foundry and link up with packaging/testing partners, Goya build up the complete organization to establish a full ASIC turnkey service chain to formally announced the ASIC turnkey service by end of 1999. Through the alliance with MOSIS, a world leading MPW service partner, Goya provides stable, reliable and cost effective MPW solution to the field from 2001. Goya 's clients could concentrate on the marketing and design efforts to leave physical implementation and production tasks to Goya with confidence.

IP (Intellectual Property) development is one of Goya's major focuses to future world of ASIC. The leading silicon implementation skill is the basis to develop advance IP; Goya no doubt holds the advantage. Goya provide various digital & mixed signal IP design services (such as special I/O, high speed I/O, ADC/DAC, PLL…etc) for our customers. Goya also has broad and good experience for SoC (System on a Chip) Physical Integration. With the IP service and the DFT solution services, Goya assist clients to do SoC design and integration.
